When is the best time to schedule maternity pictures?
As photographers we want to see a nice round belly for your maternity photos, so we suggest around 30-34 weeks. But this photo session is about you and how comfortable you feel. We have done maternity photos as early as 26 weeks because our clients wanted to look and feel comfortable during their photoshoot.
Can our photo session be outdoors? Do you have suggestions?
Yes please! We love shooting outside in our beautiful Orange County and surrounding California counties. You can view our location page for suggestions and our favorite spots!
What do I wear for maternity photos? What about my partner and children?
We have a complete guide and suggestions with photos for what to wear. We also cover selecting your partner's and kid's outfits. Visit our What To Wear Maternity Guide. We will also bring a very helpful pop-up tent where you can change.
What should we have ready for the photo session?
The use of props for a maternity session is always special. Most of the time we ask you to bring some baby shoes, a onesie, and an ultrasound picture. If there are any other props that you wanted to include in the pictures please feel free to bring those along.
